IPC’s SLiC Wind Turbine (patent pending): Simple, Scalable, and Smart
At the core of our innovation is the SLiC (Simple, Low in Cost) vertical axis wind turbine—an efficient, compact, and visually unobtrusive system designed to seamlessly integrate into residential, commercial, and small-scale utility settings.
Unlike traditional horizontal-axis wind turbines, our SLiC design:
– Operates efficiently at low wind speeds
– Produces minimal noise
– Requires no complex directional controls or braking systems
– Poses fewer risks to birds and other wildlife
– Is safe, reliable, and easy to maintain
– Uses affordable, domestically sourced materials
– Can be scaled to increase output to suit a wide range of energy needs
Our technology avoids many of the limitations that have held back widespread adoption of wind power, making clean energy more accessible and practical than ever before.
Starting Small, Thinking Big
To accelerate development and minimize costs, IPC is currently focused on building and testing a micro-scale prototype of the SLiC turbine. This early-stage model will validate the design’s performance and scalability before we move to larger systems suitable for residential and other behind-the-meter applications.
Storage Matters
Reliable energy generation needs reliable energy storage. IPC is also collaborating with industry partners to develop affordable, domestically manufactured energy storage solutions. Our goal is to create battery technologies that avoid the use of lithium and other materials sourced from foreign or conflict-prone regions—further supporting energy independence and supply chain security.
